Chief Warder Sergeant Arthur Henry Cook,( 1888-1934) of the Yeomen Warder of the Tower, studying by lantern light. Cook rose from Private soldier to the position of Yeoman Warder, he served with the 1st Battalion Somerset Light Infantry from 1910-1932. He joined the Army around 1900 and served throughout the 1st World War and then served in India from 1921 to 1925. and in Sudan from 1925 to 1927. He was a Yeoman Warder of the Tower from 1933 -1934.
