Ploughing near Lasswade - Northcliffe Collection

Two horses are used to plough the fields near Lasswade , Edinburgh in 1949. Snow covers the tops of the nearby Pentland Hills. Lasswade is now part of the green belt surrounding Edinburgh and is popular with commuters into Edinburgh.
