Wreckage in Cloister Court caused by bombs that hit the Houses of Parliament during a twelve-hour raid on London by 413 German aircraft in December 1940. The building to the left of the guard is the Member's Cloakroom. This photograph was taken on 17/12/1940 but was embargoed by the war censor till 23/12/1940.
