Terence Alan Milligan chose to be called Spike due to his dislike of his name, Terence. Milligan was born on the 16th of April 1918 in India. He was the son of a Brtish Army officer serving in India. Milligan was a musician, writer, poet, playwright, and actor. He is seen here getting his hair cut by his first wife the singer June Marlow in 1956. Milligan married a further two times. Spike Milligan was probably best known for his appearances in the Goon Show a radio program that ran from 1951 to 1960 and also starred Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe. photograp[h by George Douglas.
